Spur & Groove formation. South Gallows Point consists of a shallow reef lined with canyons leading to the edge of the wall at 30'. The wall plummets to a sandy slope at 110'. Stingrays, garden eel, jawfish, and tube worms make their home in the sand. The wall is covered in gorgonians while the canyons are formed by star, brain, and plate coral. Snappers and grouper abound as well as the more common colorful tropicals such as angels, tangs, butterfly fish, parrotfish, and trumpets.
